WHAT'S “GLOBAL?” LOOK AT A GLOBE …
OBAMA, AS PROMISED, “STANDS WITH THE MUSLIMS” …
YOUNG BARACK'S MENTOR A DEDICATED COMMUNIST

Brief note to the media munchkins who are construing a storm-line from the midwest to the east coast and its associated heat as a product of “global warming”: A several-thousand square-mile piece of the United States is NOT “global.”
Anybody who thinks even the entire nation is representative of “the globe” should buy an around-the-world airline ticket and get acquainted with reality. Several travel agencies advertise around-the-world airfares on the internet with prices starting around $2,500. It would be a worthwhile investment for anyone who pontificates on “global” anything.

Another example of Big Media at work …
The Washington Post published a now-discredited story about Mitt Romney and the organization he headed many years ago, Bain Capital, being big outsourcers of jobs. It was a blatant lie.
Yet the Post's own “fact-checker,” Glenn Kessler, now admits that he doesn't “fact-check” stories in his own paper. Yes, the fox IS guarding the hen-house.

Just so everybody understands where we stand, here are the numbers required to dump Obamacare:
1.- Control of the House retained by Republicans.
2.- A net gain of three Senate seats. That would tie it at 50 votes apiece, with a Republican Vice-President to cast the deciding vote IF …
3.- Romney wins.
That's the bottom line necessary to make it a November to remember.

- - - - -

Three interrelated Rasmussen polls show …
1.  Romney back ahead in that see-saw race, 46-44%...
2.  By 52-39% voters favor repeal of Obamacare...and...
3.  Voters saying the Supremes are doing a good or excellent job, down from 36% to 33% since the ruling on Obamacare.

Let's see … Congress votes to charge Attorney General Eric Holder with contempt of that august body, whereupon attorneys in the Justice Department, run by Holder, announce that they will not prosecute him under such charges.
So … lawyers in the Justice Department choose not to prosecute their boss! I'm stunned, shocked AND amazed!
This serves as an example of the folly of putting the mice in charge of guarding the cheese. (That's your second aphorism of the day.)

Several days before the release of the Supreme Court decision on Obamacare, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg recycled a golden-oldie by saying, in regard to leaks from the Court and its staff, “Those who know don’t talk. And those who talk don’t know.”
Since then, it's become clear that some who DO know DO talk. Word-of-mouth from Court insiders is growing that Chief Justice Roberts first sided with those who would have killed Obamacare, then flipped and voted the other way.

Jay Norlinger quotes (in National Review online) a prominent judge speaking of the Roberts Court decision …

Roberts failed to do his duty — his constitutional duty. He’s not supposed to be looking at the political situation. He’s not supposed to think about his ‘legacy.’ He’s supposed to uphold the Constitution, plain and simple. The majority decision will come to be embarrassing. The dissent will stand as something true and admirable.”

The heartening consolation of the Obamacare decision: individual states don't have to play that game, and a lengthening line of Republican governors have already stated flatly that they won't go along.

Iran is just the latest of many historical instances demonstrating a real-world reality: Little snakes become big snakes. Therefore, it's far better to kill them in the nest rather than waiting for the much larger threat.

Unfortunately, many -- mostly liberals -- are incapable of learning that lesson.

Twentieth-century examples include, but are not limited to, Hitler's march into Austria and his threats that brought a cowering France to its knees without a fight. All this following years of violating Germany's World War One surrender agreement by re-arming, unmolested.
Japan's ascension to power in the Pacific did not begin with Pearl Harbor. The warning signs were abundant for years.
It is tragic that today so few Americans know any real history, and fewer still are those who learn from it.

With Iran's clear determination to build nuclear weapons, the ascension of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, the hostility from Pakistan despite their endless mooching from us, is there any doubt that winds have shifted in an ugly direction vis a vis our relations with Muslim nations?
Perhaps, then it is time to recall Barack Hussein Obama's own words from his book, "Audacity of Hope."  "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."

Robert Spencer, who's been covering the Muslim threat longer than most people have even been aware of it, offers this in PJ Media ...
"No sooner was Muslim Brotherhood candidate Mohamed Morsi elected president of Egypt than he announced his determination to work for the freedom of an enemy of the United States: blind sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman, who is serving a life term for his role in planning the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.  Not since Jimmy Carter helped usher in the Iranian Revolution has an American president done so much to aid those who are determined to destroy the United States.

"In fact, the parallels are numerous. Carter betrayed the shah of Iran, a longtime U.S. ally who had a dismal human rights record but was generally loyal, and paved the way for the ascent to power of the Ayatollah Khomeini and the Iranian mullahcracy that quickly showed its gratitude to Carter by taking U.S. Embassy personnel hostage, and has maintained a war footing against the United States ever since."
"Obama, for his part, betrayed Hosni Mubarak, another longtime U.S. ally with a record of repressive rule, paving the way for the Muslim Brotherhood's rise to power.  And now President Morsi has shown his gratitude to Obama by announcing his determination to free from prison a man who plotted to murder hundreds of thousands of Americans."
" The Obama administration rejects, as a matter of repeatedly stated policy, the idea that Islam has anything to do with terrorism, or warfare against unbelievers, or the legal subjugation of non-Muslims."

Prof. Paul Kengor, with whom I've talked on many occasions, has a new book about Barack Obama's mentor coming out in a couple of weeks. It's called “The Communist: Frank Marshall Davis, The Untold Story of Barack Obama's Mentor.”
Prof. Kengor offers some pertinent notes from the content on The American Thinker website...
"Frank Marshall Davis, who lived from 1905 to 1987, mentored Barack Obama in Hawaii in the 1970s.  Davis was a devoted communist - - pro-Soviet, pro-Stalin, pro-Mao.  His Communist Party number was 47544.  David did terrible, blatant propaganda work for the international communist movement.  In 'The Communist,' I publish rare declassified FBI and Soviet archival documents on Davis and his work.  I also present columns written by Davis for Communist Party newspapers in the 1940s and 1950s.

“Among those columns, Frank Marshall Davis wrote a piece on July 21, 1955 calling for taxpayer funding of universal health care.  That column was published in the Honolulu Record, which was the Communist Party publication for Hawaii. “

If everyone is like me – an absurd proposition on the face of it – “robo calls,” those automated recorded phone calls that we all get during political campaign season, are a total waste of resources. As soon as I detect that tell-tale delay, usually even before the pitch begins, I hang up. In fact, if I am otherwise neutral on a particular race or issue, I'm more likely to vote against the side that places those stupid, time-wasting calls.

Socialism or fascism? Thomas Sowell elucidates ...
"It bothers me a little when conservatives call Barack Obama a 'socialist.' He certainly is an enemy of the free market, and wants politicians and bureaucrats to make the fundamental decisions about the economy. But that does not mean that he wants government ownership of the means of production, which has long been a standard definition of socialism.
"What President Obama has been pushing for, and moving toward, is more insidious: government control of the economy, while leaving ownership in private hands. That way, politicians get to call the shots but, when their bright ideas lead to disaster, they can always blame those who own businesses in the private sector."

Reduced to basics, that is fascist economics. It's what Hitler did in Germany, leaving ownership of industrial giants like Krupp in private hands but with the clear understanding that they would produce what he wanted. Ditto Mussolini in Italy.
Unfortunately, most Americans are so poorly educated or utterly detached they not only don't realize what's happening to their country, they wouldn't know what to call it even if they did.
Adding to the confusion is the historical fact that the full name of Hitler's Nazi party was ... the National SOCIALIST Party."

Another heart-warmer from the Sky Guy …
A secretary walked into her boss's office and said, "I'm afraid I've got some bad news for you."
"Why do you always have to give me bad news?" he complained. "Tell me some good news for once."
"Alright, here's some good news, " said the secretary. "You're not sterile!"
